2008 PROTEST RULES
MID
All protest must be made by
the driver only.
All protest must be made to
the pit steward only.
He will make clear who he is
at the all drivers meetings.
Crew members, car owners,
and family members are not allowed to protest.
The following are the ONLY
accepted forms of protest.
1)
A protest is
ONLY allowed for ONE specific item/rule per protest.
2)
DRIVER must pay
$50 protest fee to the Pit Steward at the time of protest
3)
Only Mid America
Tech Officials can check cars under protest. Driver and one crew member of
protested car is allowed in tech area. NO ONE ELSE IS PERMITTED IN TECH AREA. Driver making the protest must return to their
pit. NO EXCEPTIONS. They will be notified of the outcome immediately upon its completion
by Track Officials.
4)
If protested car
is found to be ILLEGAL – that driver will loose all points and pay for that nights event and the $50 protest fee will be returned to
Driver making the protest.
5)
If protested car
is found to be LEGAL – that driver will be awarded the $50 protest fee
6)
Protest are only
allowed for POSTED Mid
America Speedway rules.
7)
Protest are only
accepted for 5
minutes after the “A” feature racing in. The driver making the protest and the
driver being protested must have taken the green flag in that particular “A” feature. NO
EXCEPTIONS
